Privacy and Other Policies

1. Payment
1. Payment in full is required before dispatch.
2. Payment can only be made in AUD.
3. Payments are accepted via Paypal, Cheque or Money Order, Bank Transfer or Credit Card.
2. Products and Prices
1. Our prices and/or products are subject to change without notice.
2. All products are for sale in AUD.
3. All prices are invoiced per item include GST. The GST total is also shown on each invoice.
3. Delivery
1. It is our intention to ship orders within 7 days from receipt of your payment.
2. Dispatch of goods is normally by Australia Post Parcel Post or a private contractor, however, we reserve the right to deliver goods by any other reasonable means.
3. You agree that you will be responsible for all delivery costs unless otherwise stated. Byron Bay Ear Candles expressly reserves the right to amend your invoice, should actual freight costs exceed the amount already paid. You agree that Byron Bay Ear Candles may debit your account accordingly.
4. You agree that freight charges automatically applied to your order may be varied depending on your delivery address.
5. We will not be liable for damage to or loss of goods left on your instructions at your unattended delivery addressee delivered to the carrier, regardless of the method of shipping.
6.  Claims for loss or damage of products are the responsibility of the purchaser and should be reported to the appropriate carrier.  We will NOT accept loss or damage of goods in transit that have NOT been insured. Should you require your order insured please contact us prior to dispatch.
7.  Orders should reach your door in approximately 10 business days or less
8.  Occasionally the item you purchase may be out of stock. In this case we will place your order on back order and fulfil as soon as the product becomes available. We will attempt to fill all back orders within 30 days.
4. Returns and Refunds
1. We will not be liable to rectify incorrect supply of goods or damage to goods unless you advise us within 48 hours of taking delivery of goods.
2. We will not accept returns of goods any later than fourteen days ( 14 ) after the date of the invoice.
3. Returned goods must be accompanied by a photocopy of the invoice relating to them.
4. We will not accept returns of goods that are not in the same condition as when supplied.
5. Should you return goods not subject to clauses 4.1- 4.3 ( a ) we will require you to pay for the goods in full; (b) we will charge a restocking fee of 25% on all returns of goods supplied as ordered.
6. Shipping charges, Paypal and Credit Card Charges are non refundable.
5. Security
1. Byron Bay Ear Candles takes the worry out of online shopping with the use of secure servers and secure socket layers (SSL) technology for the transfer of credit card information. This means that the credit card information you send is encrypted by your computer, and then decrypted again on our side, preventing others from accessing your private information in between. So, when using an SSL capable browser, shopping on our web site is the safest kind of transaction possible with a credit card.
2. We have security measures in place to protect our customer database and access to the data is restricted internally.
3. Whilst we take care of the confusing jargon at our end, it is still your responsibility to protect your password from being disclosed to any third party.

6. Privacy Policy and Personal Information
1. Byron Bay Ear Candles online store complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. This privacy policy describes the information we require and how we use it.
2. When you place an order with Byron Bay Ear Candles we need to collect personal information to accompany the receipt of purchase. This includes your name, mailing address, email address, contact details and credit card information.
3. For increased security, your credit card details are not stored on our web servers.
   
4. Your personal information is password protected and you can view details of your account online at any time via our secure server. Should you wish to update these details, or be removed from the database, you are required to contact Byron Bay Ear Candles by emailing sales@byronbayearcandles.com.au so that appropriate action can be taken.
   
5. Your information is used only by Byron Bay Ear Candles and we collect your personal information so that we may:
1. Provide you with products or services that you request
2. Advise you when we are experiencing difficulty in fulfilling your request
3. Assist you when you wish to return a product
4. Help you with any inquiries
5. Offer you any additional products and services
6. Protect you from fraud.
6. The email address you supply to us when you order is used to send through your order confirmation and shipping confirmation. We also send you out an email newsletter with information on special discounts, promotions, updates on new products and exclusive offers that we run from time to time if you wish to subscribe. You can unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time.
7. Byron Bay Ear Candles only collects personal information in a lawful and fair means, and only when it is necessary (i.e. for taking orders, or for mailing lists). This complies with the National Privacy Principles.
7. Disclosure
1. Byron Bay Ear Candles does not, unless required by law, disclose personal information collected to other organizations.
8. Failure to provide personal information
1. If requested information is not provided, Byron Bay Ear Candles may be unable to complete a transaction, or it may delay the delivery of your order.
